In connection with the tenth anniversary of InSDES, ‘Energy Transition Conclave 2025’ was organised in collaboration with IEEE Power & Energy Society Kerala Chapter and KSEBOA, at Ernakulam Town Hall on 22nd August 2025. The conclave was inaugurated in the morning session by Dr. R. Hari Kumar, Director, EMC, Kerala in a function which was presided over by Dr. P Rajan, Director, InSDES. Dr. Bobby Philip, Chair, IEEE P&E Society, Kerala delivered keynote address. Dr. Ajith Gopi, Sri. John Jacob and Sri. Shine Raj delivered felicitation speeches. Sri. V.R. Sudhi, Chair, Media, Publications & Stakeholder Development, InSDES welcomed the gathering and Sri. Bose Jacob, Registrar, InSDES offered vote of thanks.
As a part of the conclave, discussion was held on ‘Role of various stakeholders in Energy Transition’. Discussion was led by Dr. S.R Anand, Chair, Research & Studies, InSDES. Dr. Bobby Philip (Chair, IEEE PES), Dr. Ajith Gopi (CEO, Zonergia Services Pvt Ltd), Dr. N Nandakumar (KSEBOA) and Smt. Cini John (KSEBL) participated in the discussion.
Technical Paper contest and Poster Contest were also organised as a part of the Energy Transition Conclave for students, faculty and professionals. 35 papers and 20 posters were received from various institutions, out of which selected 12 papers and 10 posters were presented at the conclave venue. Cash award of ₹ 5000, ₹ 3000 and ₹ 2000 along with certificate were given to first, second and third prize winners respectively in both papers and posters. In addition, all the presented papers and posters were given a consolation prize of ₹ 1000 and certificate. The authors from Marian Engineering College Trivandrum stood first in paper contest while the participants from Government Engineering College, Kannur stood first in poster contest.

In the evening, a seminar on ‘Energy Transition’ was organised as part of the 10th Anniversary of InSDES and 24th State Conference of KSEB Officers Association. Sri. R. Bijuraj was moderator. Dr. P Rajan welcomed the seminar participants. Sri. B. Pradeep (Member, KSERC), Sri. Sudeep Dutta (General Secretary, EEFI), Sri. N. Sreekumar (Member, Prayas Energy Group, Pune) and Dr. S.R. Anand (Chair, Research & Studies, InSDES) delivered lectures on various aspects of Energy Transition.
